Lucie loves to pretend to read; it's very creative as she makes the story up. She took my book off the shelf to read. Movie later.

Perhaps I've missed these in the UK as I think this shopping trolley is genius, two steering wheels, lock them in and away we go. The kids now ask to go to the supermarket just to ride in the "yellow car".
All four of us had fun with a bit of face painting, challenging with an under 2 year old!
A 2 minute interview with Lucie, 3 years old.
Beginning. I am making this painting a gift to Erin and Mike for having me to stay. It's the first time I have painted a landscape at this scale, so a new challenge. I'm having to work outside as there isn't really a suitable place to paint inside especially with the children running about, so I have been working on cooler days. I couldn't paint today as temperatures outside got up to about 28°. I'll post an update soon.
Erin and I had a go at making fresh pizza dough following Jamie Oliver's recipe (kind of) and got a great result.
Beautiful day. Here are some photos from Erin & Mike's garden at sunset.
There's so much space here. Erin and Mike's house is near Te Puna, just outside of Tauranga. This is the lovely view of their house from the road.
I noticed how wonderfully child-friendly restaurants and shops are here in New Zealand compared to the UK. Almost all have a basket of toys to amuse kids. Here's Lucie at the post office play table while mum is at the post office counter.
